| Directing - I have directed documentaries both in my own right and as a cover for absent directors whose style I have had to follow accurately.
Producing - managing crews of various sizes, budget planning and supervision, access and location negotiation.
China Filming support - I have great contacts in the Chinese Media and can help in sourcing equipment and crew and obtaining necessary government and other permissions.
Researching - I have researched a huge number of documentaries (and proposals) on a broad scope of subjects from the academic to the more entertainment based. I also have a lot of experience in archive and picture research and am well practised at contributor finding and liaison.
Co-ordinating - scheduling and booking travel and accommodation for entire crews. Organising location and third party material permissions and rights.
Camera - self shoot on PD 150 and 170, Z1, V1 and JVC (HD 111) cameras.
Sound - radio mics and boom.
Languages - Fluent Mandarin, Conversational Japanese and French.
Writing - In addition to programme scripts, I have written articles for various websites and magazines such as the BBC and Tatler (Hong Kong) and been responsible for content of programme websites.
